Directions
- Add 4 cans of rinsed beans and broth to a blender. Puree until smooth.
- Preheat your grill or smoker to 450°F.
- Open your grill's sear plate and place your cast iron on the bottom grate over the sear area. Allow to preheat for 5 minutes.
- Coat the bottom of the cast iron with cooking oil, then add the ground turkey and chopped onions. Sauté for 4-6 minutes before adding the garlic. Then sauté for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add leftover beans (2 cans), bean puree, green chilies, salt and spices to the cast iron.
- Bring the chili to a simmer and cook for 25 minutes, stirring often. Pro Tip: You may have to adjust the sear plate to maintain a simmer.
- Remove from the grill and serve immediately.
