A rich, glossy BBQ glaze crafted from smoked cherries, fiery cherry peppers, and smoky chipotle paste. This deep red glaze delivers the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and spicy, making it the ultimate finishing touch for all the classic favorites.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp chopped cherry peppers
  • 1 tbsp chipotle paste
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp cold water

Directions

  • Preheat pellet grill to 225°F with cherry blend pellets.
  • Place fresh pitted cherries on a sheet tray and onto the grill. Allow the cherries to smoke for 20-30 minutes.
  • Add cherries, vinegar, honey, brown sugar, cherry peppers, chipotle paste, Worchestershire, salt, and pepper to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and shiny.
  • Pour the mixture into a saucepan and place on the stove over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a light boil.
  • In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and cold water to make a slurry. (1:2 ratio)
  • Slowly mix the slurry into the cherry glaze mixture. Stir until fully combined and slightly thickened. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Store in an airtight container or use right away!
