Directions
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels then toss in BBQ rub until coated well. Cover and place wings in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
- When you're ready to grill, preheat your smoker to 225°F and smoke the wings for 1 hour.
- Remove the wings from the grill. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F, spray the basket with cooking spray, and air fry the wings until golden brown and crisp, flipping halfway. This will be approximately 12 minutes or until wings reach 195-200°F using a meat thermometer.
- To make the buffalo sauce, melt butter in a small pot on the stove and whisk in hot sauce. Remove after warm and incorporated.
- In a large bowl, toss the wings in the sauce and serve hot with blue cheese or ranch dressing (and celery if you want the full wing experience).
