Directions
- Make your sauce/marinade by combining soy sauce, ginger, sugar, chili paste, vinegar, red pepper flakes, garlic, honey, chili crisp, and Chinese 5 spice into a large container or bag. Reserve 1/3 of this sauce for coating the wings later.
- Add chicken wings to the homemade marinade, cover and refrigerate. Allow to marinate for at least 2 hours. Pro Tip: Marinate overnight for best results.
- When you're ready to grill, preheat your grill to 450°F.
- Add the marinated grills to the lower rack of your grill, and rotate often with tongs to ensure even cooking and coloring.
- Grill until the wings reach an internal temperature of 165°, then remove and toss with the remaining sauce/marinade.
- Optional garnish: top with sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onions
