Directions
- Preheat pellet grill to high heat.
- Rub steak with oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Open the sear plate on your Pit Boss grill and sear the outside of the steak over an open flame until desired color is reached.
- Close the sear plate and set grill to 350°F.
- Place a temperature probe into the thickest part of the steak, one inch away from the bone to get an accurate temperature reading.
- Place steak on center rack and close the grill lid.
- Allow the steak to reach an internal temperature of 120°F. We cooked our steak to medium-rare.
- Remove from the grill and allow to rest 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
