Cowboy Butter Beef Back Ribs

  • 6 Servings
  • 10 minutes Prep Time
  • 2 hours Cook Time

Be the boss of the backyard and make these beef back ribs in just 3 simple steps: Season, Grill, Braise. By generously seasoning with the Pit Boss Cowboy Butter Rub, then grilling them on high heat, these ribs develop a nice sear that elevates the flavor of the meat. Then, they're braised in a pan with butter and beef broth for a BBQ rib that's juicy and tender, every time.

Directions

  • Preheat your pellet grill or smoker to 400°F.
  • Pat ribs dry with a paper towel, then remove the membrane from each. You can do this with a butter knife and a paper towel, or with the Pit Boss Rib Prep Tool.
  • Coat the ribs lightly and evenly with avocado oil, then generously season with Pit Boss Cowboy Butter Rub on both sides.
  • Grill the ribs on the bottom rack until and even sear is achieved, flipping and rotating as necessary. Then, remove the ribs and reduce your grill's heat to 300°F.
  • Place the ribs in a full-size aluminum pan and coat the tops with softened butter. Then, add beef broth to the pan and cover the ribs and pan with plastic wrap and aluminum foil.
  • Grill ribs in covered pan for 1 hour.
  • Remove from the grill and let the ribs rest in the covered pan for 30 minutes.
  • Carve and serve immediately!
