A delicious and flavorful carne asada street taco served with tangy cilantro lime crema and smoky charred salsa. These are the perfect bite for your next weeknight dinner, date night, or Taco Tuesday!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. skirt steak
  • Corn tortillas
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • Pickled red onions
  • Avocado, sliced
  • Cilantro lime crema
  • Charred salsa

Tools

Directions

  • In a bowl or large plastic bag, add the skirt steak, salt, pepper, olive oil, lime juice, and orange juice. Seal the bag or add a tight plastic cover over your bowl. Let this marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your Pit Boss Pellet Grill to 350°F degrees.
  • Grill the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for a medium rare, or to your desired doneness.
  • Remove from the grill and allow the steak to rest for 5-10 minutes.
  • While your meat is resting, heat up your tortillas on a griddle or hot skillet for about 30 seconds per side until soft and lightly browned.
  • After resting, thinly slice your skirt steak against the grain for tender pieces.
  • To assemble your tacos, layered the sliced carne asada onto your tortillas. Then spoon on the cilantro lime crema, salsa, and top with pickled red onions and avocado slices.
  • Serve with lime wedges and enjoy!

Recipe Note
