Peanut Butter & Jelly French Toast Sticks

If you didn't think a PB&J could get any better, just wait until you try these! A classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich dipped in a french toast batter and fried up on the Pit Boss Ultimate Griddle. Topped with maple syrup and powdered sugar, these will take your brunch to the next level! 

Ingredients

  • 8 slices brioche bread
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jelly
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • Powdered sugar
  • Maple syrup

Directions

  • Take out your brioche bread and divide into four groups of two. Spread peanut butter on half of your slices and jelly on the other half.
  • Sandwich the peanut butter and jelly halves together and press lighlty.
  • In a wide bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until fully combined.
  • Preheat the Pit Boss Ultimate Griddle to a medium heat, around 350°F
  • Melt the butter on the griddle surface, ensuring an even coating.
  • Submerge the PB&J sandwiches into your prepared egg mixture. Coat both sides of the sandwich with batter.
  • Place the sandwiches on the griddle and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crisp.
  • Remove them from the griddle and let rest for 3-5 minutes. Cut each sandwich into four equal slices.
  • Toss the french toast sticks in extra cinnamon and sugar before topping with maple syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar.
  • Enjoy!
